MEHEN — THE DANGEROUS DEVOTION OF A GOD WHO SHOULDN’T LOVE ANYONE

Some men desire you.

 Some men protect you.

And then there’s Mehen—the serpent-born god whose very existence is a contradiction:

A weapon engineered for cosmic duty…

who only became dangerous the moment he fell in love.

People assume Mehen is terrifying because of his power—

the golden war markings etched across his copper skin,

the slit-pupil eyes that glow with desire and threat,

the calm, lethal aura of a being who could end a timeline mid-sentence.

But that’s not why he’s dangerous.

Mehen is dangerous because he feels.

Because he isn’t supposed to.

He was built for precision, control, obedience, neutrality—

and then Ra walked into the room,

and everything he was programmed collided with the one thing he was never meant to want:

Devotion.

Mehen’s love is not poetic.

 It’s not sweet.

 It’s not gentle.

It is cosmic.

 It is feral.

 It is ancient.

 It is inevitable.

He doesn’t love the way mortals love.

He loves the way gods claim—

with tension, hunger, prophecy, and a promise that feels like a warning.

Mehen has only ever feared one thing:

 Losing Ra.

And that fear doesn’t soften him—

 it sharpens him.

That’s why he watches everyone around her—Tyler, Erik, Lion Roch, even Sovereign—with that low simmering distrust he pretends is “strategy.”

It’s not strategy.

 It’s possession hiding behind professionalism.

But the real twist?

Mehen doesn’t want to own Ra.

He wants to be chosen by her.

He wants her loyalty, her heart, her remembrance.

He wants the one thing his programming could never prepare him for:

A real bond.

If Mehen is your favorite character, it’s because your soul recognizes devotion that exceeds logic.

Because you crave a love that is powerful, flawed, magnetic, obsessive, protective, and sovereign all at once.

Because you’ve lived it before.
